- 8 ounces (1 cup) fine grain Ultra Epsom Salt
- 1/2 cup Almond oil, Jojoba oil or massage oil
- 5-15 drops essential oil blend
Salt scrubs are incredibly easy to make at home, and an Epsom salt scrub will bring you all the benefits of skin exfoliation along with the therapeutic benefits of Epsom salt and it's soothing properties.
Pour the Ultra Epsom Salt into a mixing bowl and slowly add the Almond, Jojobo or massage oil, mixing well with a wooden spoon. Add the essential oils and continue mixing. This recipe should provide enough Epsom Salt Scrub for about three at-home treatments. To use, simply rub into the skin before showering.
CAUTION: Essential oils may cause sensitivity to your skin. Oils you should avoid in your bath salt recipes include but are not limited to: basil, oregano, thyme, nutmeg, clove, cinnamon, black pepper, and bay (Pimenta and Laurus)
Consult your physician before using essential oils if you have high blood pressure, are pregnant or have other medical concerns.
